I am an artist and programmer living in Brooklyn, NY. I write the code for open-ground.org. It uses the NARF framework, which I also write. You can contact me at martyr@open-ground.org. Are you my friend?

I like poetic, sensual, iconic paintings. I throw various ideas against the wall and hopefully they stick. I try to make paintings which resist my attempts at calming verbage. I like tactile, spiritual, emotional, informational, emotional paintings, in no particular order. I think the death of painting is dumb.

I assemble devotional, ecstatic, psychedelic icons from children's books and family snapshots. These small paintings embellish my fears: haunting visions of swelling seas, staring at the sun, being lost in space. Joining the Byzantine and the obfuscated, these icons document a cybernetic childhood of Catholicism and mathematics

hexane.org mirrors the latest projects on my hard drive. It's something of a studio visit.
