Poozy’s drawings of imaginary creatures and graceful animals recall visual innocence and childhood fantasies. Nina57’s project recreates the clownish monkeys from the barrel of monkey game in a very playful installation. Johnston’s signature style is to create his Animal sculptures out of
discarded materials, inventing a new wild species imbued with humor,
metaphors and social commentary. Joey, mastermind of Animal Style, performs double duty on the show by including his luminous series of animal portraits, which are created by stringing LED lights to form fantasy
constellations. JP’s work, drawn from his imagination, are witty robot
birds influenced by comics and animation.

Joey Mariano combines gameboy and guitar under the alias “Animal Style” to create a unique blend of video game music, rock, fusion and improvisation with a dance aesthetic. With danceable beats and moody lyrics reminiscent of The Smiths and New Order, The Jaguar Club is a power indie-pop trio that aim to entertain the crowd. Lions & Tigers’ slithery art-rock spans the reaches from gothic psychedelia to glacial avant-pop. With the pounding of a double drummer combo, Wild Bee pronounces a heavy hammering rock that recalls the tribal forces of the past. A tribal collective of drum-addicted noise freaks, The Fucking Hawk combines the afrobeat propulsion of a funk-infused rhythm section and clapping ensemble with spastic stutter guitars and damaged analog processing.

Luna Lounge will be hosting these monthly Art&Music Events the first
Thursday of every month showcasing local visual artists and local bands.
The mission of these events is to merge the vibrant worlds and art and music in the New York City area.
