Hello,
So as you can probably tell, we have a new looking site. Keeping things short and sweet. Over time we will pull more info over from the old site. To get in on the Artist list you just have to register.
Cheers,
Patrick
Three cheers for Patrick!

I am so excited to have some new features–to be able to write comments and have people sign up and link their website!
I think this will be a great place to share ideas about creativity and artistic production. Or we can just bullshit…
I have to call Emily again, she was mulling over her schedule…
We should definately do a gallery run-around, I haven’t been in so long! What do you think, openings or a Saturday?
The new site looks pretty cool and I’m guessing it will allow us to do new things, or old things better. Would it be possible to get a overview of how it would best be used, or what to look out for (perhaps even what not to use it for?).
Thanks for all the hard work Patrick : )
Brandon:
The basic idea of the website has always been to facilitate conversation and collaboration. Once we weren’t meeting in Real Life, the wiki seemed a bit cumbersome.
I had a scheme of integrating different blogs, but it was a bit complicated. In the end, my blog was the only one on the page. When OG reached the point where it just had my latest vacation photos, I gave up on that scheme.
I feel that a blog w/comments is almost the same thing as a dicussion forum. As folks are registering I’m elevating their permissions so they can post.
I think this will be a more lively use of http://open-ground.org.
A couple notes about moderation:
+ Your first comment is moderated, until I verify that you aren’t a robot chicken.
+ At the moment, I’m moderating new posts. I feel like opening up more, but since it feels better to open things up rather than close things down, I’m taking my time opening things up. I’m saving the fun for later ![]()
I think there will be a period of figuring out how this site can be best used, but my idea is to share art and ideas so I’m going to try a little experiment!

HI P and J,
Congrats on the new format. It’s real slick. Has there been any word on another studio visit? If no one wants to maybe we can just get together or go to galleries. I’m working on a project with two other women right now called Three Ways of Amputation. It’s very exciting.
